Thanatopraxia

Thanatopraxia is a procedure designed to temporarily preserve the body of a loved one, "after death", through the proper technique of injecting a specific fluid (also known as prosthetic or reconstructive art).

The advantages of this method include:

- Preserving the deceased's appearance by reducing the trauma of farewells;

- Enhancing the preservation of the remains, allowing families to arrange funerals and burials in a manner that best suits them;

- Preventing the contagion of diseases

- Preventing the spread of unpleasant odours;

- Prevent liquid spills and leakages;

- Prevent soil pollution;

- Ensure that transfers are carried out safely and, where applicable, in accordance with international laws.

Technicians provide a healthier appearance to the body, a practice that is valued in situations where a person has suffered significant injury or trauma to the face or body.

Depending on the condition of the deceased person, thanatopraxia can be performed using preservation techniques for up to 48 hours.

The procedure is done by applying chemicals to the deceased.
